Cookie Policy

This website uses so-called “cookies”. Cookies are short data files that are stored on your hard-drive through your web browser. Cookies store certain information (for example, your language or page preferences) that your web browser transmits to us, depending on the lifetime of the cookies, when you visit our website again.

We use two types of cookies: (1) technically necessary cookies, without which the website would not function properly, and (2) optional cookies.

Optional cookies

Name of cookie(s)

Purpose of use, content

Google Analytics

More information on cookies placed by Google is available at: https://policies.google.com/technologies/types

Lifetime: 1 year

Provider: Google Inc.

We do not use optional cookies without your prior consent. On your first visit to our website, you will be presented with a window asking for your consent to use optional cookies. If you consent to such use, a cookie will be stored on your computer and the window will not appear again during the cookie’s lifetime. If the cookie expires or you delete the cookie, the next time you visit our website, the window will reappear asking for your consent.

By changing your settings in the table above, you have the right to withdraw your consent to use optional cookies at any time. Of course, you can use our website without cookies (including technically necessary cookies). You can deactivate or restrict the use of cookies in your browser at any time which, however, may have a negative impact on the usability and user-friendliness of the site.

Web analytics

Our website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc.; 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States (“Google”).

Based on your prior consent, Google will analyse how you use our website for us. To this end, we use – among others – the cookies detailed in the table above. Information about your use of our website (such as the type of operating system you use, the URLs of other of our websites you visit, your language preferences, screen settings) are transmitted to Google in the United States, where it is stored and analysed and the results are made available to us in an anonymised form. In the course of the process, your data will not be linked to your full IP address. On our website, we activate an IP anonymisation function recommended by Google, which deletes the last 8 digits (for IPv4) or 80 bits (for IPv6) of the IP address. Google holds the Privacy Shield certificate of the European Union and the United States, which ensures an adequate level of data protection when Google transfers data to the United States.

You can withdraw your consent to web analytics at any time by downloading and installing the Browser Plugin provided by Google or by changing your consent as listed in the table above, in which case an opt-out cookie is downloaded. Both options will only prevent further use of web analytics if you are using the browser on which you installed the plugin or if you do not delete the opt-out cookie.

For more information about Google Analytics, please read the Google Analytics Terms of Service, the Google Analytics Data Privacy and Security Policy and the Google Privacy and Terms.
